May15-June 10th is our annual open enrollment period for FY13. This is the time when you are able to change your choice of benefits. As we are looking at other providers that both provide quality service and are cost effective for each employee. Providers look at our previous years history, several ways we can help to reduce cost are;
- Select a Primary Care Physician
- Use your PCP for routine visits versus using the Emergency Room; contact your PCP for common colds, fevers, sprains, etc.
- If you experience an emergency, evaluate whether this is a Urgent Care visit or
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: Inova Employee Assistance is Cornerstones’ provider of employee assistance services. This is a benefit provided by RI at no cost to you and is provided to all employees and their household family members. Personal and family problems can make life very difficult. Having someone who listens and is objective and concerned may be just the help you need to avoid a crisis. Inova Employee Assistance provides that support. Inova counselors are trained professionals who can advise you on a wide range of problems — psychological or emotional disturbances, finances, alcohol or other drug abuse, relationship or family distress, legal or other issues. Inova Employee Assistance’s services are also private and confidential. When you speak with an employee assistance professional, you can be assured that the information shared will be held in the strictest of confidence. You will have access to articles and helpful web links on a range of topics such as Parenting, Aging, Career and Workplace Education, Health, Wellness and other daily living topics, use ( inova) for both the user (i.d. and password).
