Connecting with the Community
The Herndon Neighborhood Resource Center is a collaborative effort of Fairfax County, Cornerstones and the Connections for Hope Partnership to operate and develop an outreach center, linked to other resource centers in North County, to provide neighborhood support functions.
Though Cornerstones serves a large number of clients and recipients every day, there is still a large portion of the population in need but not receiving help, often hindered by cultural and language barriers. The Neighborhood Resource Center’s guiding principles of community involvement and outreach connect our neighbor’s that are facing challenges to the tools they need to succeed and enhance the level of trust, understanding, communication, and leadership in the community.
