Children thrive when they have a stable home, a supportive family, a network of educators and care providers, and a compassionate community.
Cornerstones works with the families we serve to provide each child the services he or she needs to reach his or her full potential.
June is National Children’s Awareness Month
One of Cornerstones’ primary advocacy priorities is supporting programs and policies that ensure a bright future for Fairfax County’s children. With June being National Children’s Awareness Month, we would like to take this opportunity to highlight some of Cornerstones’ youth initiatives, as well as some of the challenges facing youth in our community. Stability Where it Matters Most
A parent who is struggling with homelessness, financial crisis, domestic abuse or other disruptive life changing problems can focus more on maintaining stable employment or increasing their earning when they know that their children are safe, happy and well cared for.
Cornerstones, in partnership with other community agencies and nonprofits, has created and participates in a variety of programs to provide the best care and resources for our younger clients in order to help them excel and most of all feel a sense of normalcy when their life is in flux.
