There are many people who dream of owning their own home, but for various reasons (bad credit, previous short sales, foreclosures, even bankruptcies…) feel that this dream is impossible to reach.
Starting this June Northern Virginia Family Services (former VA Hispanic Committee), Reston Interfaith and Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA) , have joined together to offer a series of trainings, counseling sessions, and coaching that will help people overcome most of the issues blocking the dream of home ownership.
This great initiative is the “Northern Virginia Homebuyers Club”. It is entirely free and requires that all group participants commit to the club for a period of 12 months (an average of one session per month). During this 12 month period, clients will receive education on credit counseling, credit repair, financial planning, budgeting sessions, real estate, types of mortgages and mortgage applications, understanding of real estate legal documents and much more.
A presentation of the whole program and registration will be held this coming Wednesday, June 19 at 7:00 pm at 10455 White Granite Dr., Suite 100, Oakton, VA 22124. We will close registration as soon as we fill slots available, do not miss it.
*Bilingual facilitators in Spanish will be present in all sessions.
Great Education, Good Food, Excellent Prizes and rewards every session.
