2012- Cornerstones received one of the 2012 Helios Apollo Awards, the premier awards program for recognizing employers in the Washington metropolitan region that invest in employee development initiatives that make an impact. Cornerstones was one of six finalists in the Tria award category, which represents companies with 101-175 employees. Awards categories are based on the number of employees in an organization.
2011 – Cornerstones was honored as one of 10 Best Workplaces for Commuters In Fairfax County. This award was presented by the National Center for Transit Research, in conjunction with Virginia Department of Transportation and Fairfax County.
2010 – June – Cornerstones was a recipient at the InterFaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington 6th Annual Bridge Builders Awards. These awards are given each year to carefully chosen individuals or groups for their extraordinary work in building bridges of understanding and collaboration among persons of diverse faiths in the region.
2010 – January – Cornerstones received the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Award for an Organization from the Reston Community Center. Every year the Reston Community Center presents community service awards to individuals and organizations during their MLK Birthday Celebrations.
2009 – Kerrie Wilson, CEO of Cornerstones, proudly accepted the BRAVA! Women Business Acheivement Award from SmartCEO, recognizing her as one of Greater Washington’s top female leaders.
2009 – Kerrie Wilson, CEO of Cornerstones, received the Katherine K. Hanley Public Service Award from Leadership Fairfax, Inc. Established in 2004 to honor the public service legacy of former Chair of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors (1995-2003), the award recognizes outstanding accomplishment in public service.
