Giving back is easier than you imagined. Plan a special event or drive to show your support of Cornerstones and help our social service programs care for our neighbors in need. You can raise money or collect items from our wish lists for Cornerstones through a community engaging activity.
Events
When you are planning a community engagement event or your company is planning a day of giving back – think of Cornerstones. Hosting an event to support Cornerstones is a great way to assist your neighbors in need and invest back in the community where you live, work, play, and serve. Drives
A Drive is a collection of items packaged together to meet a specific need. Drives are a great way for volunteer groups such as scouts, religious organizations, businesses, schools, or individual families and neighborhoods to make a difference right here in their community.
Here are some examples:
- Collect baby items as part of a baby shower
- At your next birthday party, ask guests to bring gifts of nonperishable foods
- Ask your coworkers to donate supplies to make welcome home baskets
- Donate a percentage of your business sales on one given day
- Choose Reston Interfaith as the beneficiary of your next community event
