- Fortune Builders for hosting a donation drive to benefit our Food Pantry during their November Conference
- German Armed Forces Command United States and Canada for generously donating proceeds from their annual Christkindlmarket
- The many shoppers at this year’s Alternative Gift Market at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Reston who chose to make donations to Cornerstones in honor of family and friends and to Judy Erickson for her tireless energy in organizing this event
- The Rotary Club of Great Falls for allowing Cornerstones to come and address their membership
- The Junior League of Northern Virginia for making Cornerstones a beneficiary of their Enchanted Forest holiday fundraiser and festivities
- St John Neumann Catholic Church Knights of Columbus who outdid themselves this year for the Healthy Families Holiday Party
Embry Rucker Community Shelter:
- Booz Allen Hamilton employees for holding a fall party for the residents
- Members of the Defense Security Service for providing a day of housekeeping chores and heavy lifting from our storage area
- Dulles Society for Human Resource Management for their annual donation and hosting a representative of the shelter at their annual holiday party
- Family of Man Council, Knights of Columbus members of St. John Neumann Church for purchasing foot lockers for our ladies’ dorms
- Floris United Methodist Church for their continuing support providing meals each month, and throughout the season at the Hypothermia Prevention Center
- Heritage Fellowship Church for catering monthly at our shelter as well as catering and serving on every major holiday throughout the year and for generously providing dinner for a Community Holiday Party; thank you to Mallow Drama for providing the amazing desserts
- INOVA Juniper Program employees for volunteering
- Sarah Kwon, Hair Stylist for providing haircuts for our clients at our shelter
- Ginger Mahon and her angels for coordinating the collection of gifts for children, parents, and singles at our shelter as well as for several other shelters and social services organizations throughout the area
- Governor-Elect and Mrs. Terry McAuliffe and family for serving breakfast on Thanksgiving Day
- The Merritt Group for catering a lunch for our shelter clients and staff
- Omicron Kappa Kappa Chapter of Omega Psi Phi for a coat and clothing drive and serving a meal
- Residents and management of the Paramount at Reston Town Center for the holiday donation drive and food
- Employees of Premium Distributors for decorating our shelter for the holidays
- Saint John Neumann Catholic Church for hosting their annual Christmas party and caroling at our shelter
- Saint Joseph Catholic Church of Herndon, Men’s Society for catering a meal
- Gillian and Vincent Sescoe for purchasing foot lockers for our men’s dorms
- Wee Play for hosting a special holiday activity for children to bring in toys and gifts for our children
- Zeta Upsilon Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity for providing a holiday feast for the clients
Thanksgiving Drive:
- Thanksgiving volunteers make the drive possible. Without the individuals and groups we would not be able to accept all of the donations or get them to the clients. Especially those from Accenture, Buffalo Wing Factory, Ellucian, Lambda Kappa Omega Chapter of AKA, The Potomac School, The Zonta Club.
Gifts for Kids Drive:
- All of our Gifts for Kids donors were amazing this year! We truly appreciate all of the groups and individuals who came out to help organize and distribute gifts, including Battlefield Towing, Cisco, and Sprint.
